Delta's AFI Nerves

Although she's been in the limelight with her #1 single and her role as Nina Tucker on Network Ten's, Neighbours, Delta Goodrem still had a case of the backstage butterflies before presenting an award at last week's AFI's.

Delta joined Don Henney from White Collar Blue and Magda Szubanski in presenting an award on the night. 'It was scary. I was standing back stage and I was getting more nervous about speaking' she laughs. 'I was thinking, I would much rather go out there and sing. It's the difference between good nerves and bad nerves. I only had two lines but I was so nervous. Performing on stage feels a lot more normal, but getting up there and having to say hello and welcome everybody is a different thing altogether.'

Delta's single 'Born To Try' is now officially double platinum and will feature on her upcoming debut album next March.
