Not content with taking the music world head-on, Delta Goodrem is also set to tackle the great soap opera challenge when she joins the cast of 'Neighbours' this autumn.
Delta - who has spent the last few months working on the follow up to her first single 'I Don't Care' in the US and UK with ex-Take That member Gary Barlow - recently relocated to Melbourne to begin filming for Neighbours & will appear on screens at the end of May.
She will be playing a character called Nina Tucker, who unlike Delta is painfully shy. Nina joins Erinsborough High to repeat year 10 due to lots of overseas travel with her parents. Without giving too much of the plot away Michelle (Kate Keltie), befriends Nina, takes her under her wing and in doing so discovers that Nina is a very talented singer.
Now seventeen, Delta began acting at the age of eight, when she appeared in the hit show 'Hey Dad'. She will continue to work on her music career simultaneously with the new acting role.
