After working tirelessly on it for the last year, talented newcomer Delta Goodrem has finished recording her debut album. The 18-year-old singer/songwriter has also settled on a name for the forthcoming release, 'Innocent Eyes'. With final touches being added as we speak, the CD will be available in stores by March 2003. The album already boasts a #1 single with 'Born To Try' which has already sold in excess of 150,000 copies.
'My A&R guy is in New York at the moment working on the final mixes and I am in contact with him all the time,' says Delta.
'The style of the album is a little more up tempo than 'Born To Try' but it's still piano based and a little bit quirkier. I like darker, quirkier tracks after ballads. I've pretty much written the whole album and I can't wait until it's released. The next single will be 'Lost Without You'
'Its just the beginning as I always say,' she continues. ' It's great that there's been such a good response to 'Born To Try' because that's the sort of music I like to do. I will just take it from there and hopefully make an album that people enjoy too.'
