Tackey & Tsubasa "HATACHI" de DEBUT

GIANT HITS CONCERT with all Johnny's Jr.

Oh yeah, baby. ^_^
Just got the VCD today, thanks to Feli who is so kind to buy it for me. ARIGATOU GOZAIMASU.
I also asked another friend, 8282, to buy me a second copy. Just for collection and spare. In case something happened to the first one. ^^;;; KAMSA HAMNIDA.
I'm also expecting a third copy, in DVD format. *crossing my fingers*

Okay, so before I say anything else...
I know that people elsewhere have been talking about it since long ago and I'm obviously behind things... but, still, there's really no stopping me from talking about this. And I don't think many Indonesians have started to talk about this... hmmm... I dunno. Not that I know of. We, Indonesians, actually never have the privilege of getting something released quickly here in the country. We're almost always behind in terms of Asian Music CD releases, DVD and films in cinemas releases and, well, basically almost everything. ~_~
Anyway, never mind...

Saa, ima, kono concert wo shabeteiru...

Disc I
YOKOHAMA ARENA 3.4.5.6 MAY 2002

Actually I don't have much to say about this first disc. It's taken from a Johnny's Jr. concert... so, it's basically the same like watching the SUGAO VCDs, except it highlights all the performances by Takki and Tsubasa. Don't expect anything much from the Juniors.
I can't see Junnosuke at all. Bleh.
The only things that interested me in here was the pose Tsubasa and Toma did after singing their duo number. Forgot what it's called. They embraced each other and sort of made a pose that seemed that they were kissing. Aiaaaaaaaa... I practically screamed because I didn't know (and didn't expect) any yaoi in the first disc.
Another time that I gaped and gasped quite so vehemently was the time Junno being close-up by the camera dancing to Tsubasa's "Isso Serenade". Wanted to cuddle, hug and kiss him.
To be honest, I was really disappointed when they cut short Takki's "Here I Am" performance. >_< I like the song and I wanted to see one whole performance but no...... they just had to edited it. >_< Damn.
I really, really don't like the editing in the first disc.
Besides, their costumes were just... no, seriously... I don't like their costumes... ^^;;;;;;;;;;
Enough said.

Disc II
TOKYO DOME 19.20 OCTOBER 2002

FAVORITE SONGS: EVERYTHING!!!
From the first track to the last!!!

FAVORITE PERFORMANCES: THE DANCES
Okay, here is where I gush about how sexy Takki and Tsuba are when they dance... ^_^

EROTIC DANCING!!!!!!!
I swear to God, when I first heard about the ero dance in the concert reports, I didn't know it was going to be *ALL THAT*. Takki, KAT-TUN and 4 Tops were topless... only wearing those pants... hip-derriere-leg-shaping pants... covered by sweat... ARRRRRRGGGGGGHHHH!!! I thought I was going crazy when I saw that... and they weren't even moving at first!!!
When they started to move to dance, I paused the VCD player to SMS my friends and tell them that I needed to get away from the TV screen for a while...
Then I continued watching... and my eyes almost fell out of its sockets when I saw Takki putting his hand in front of his "stuff" and swayed sexily... I just had to pause the video again.
Okay, so that was Takki.
JUNNOSUKE WAS EVEN HOTTER THAN TAKKI!!!!
There's something in the way he moves that makes his dancing different from the others. His muscles are very flexible so it makes his movement much more flowing, therefore his dancing more fluent, than the others... at one point, I caught him making this upwards-swirly movement (okay, so I'm really not good at describing things) and one title came across my mind at that very moment to name this dance scene: "One Night at a Wild Euro-Style Night Club with Full Monty-Wannabes".
Toma's face expression when he danced also made me palpitate... his look... it was an adult look on his face... his face is already very mature for his age, and when he had that look, I was rather shocked. =P (I should NOT let my cousin Astri, who's a massive Toma fan, watch this performance. She's underage!!!)

Then came Tsuba's dance part...
The Nurete dance!!!
ATASHI NO ICHIBAN DAISUKINA TSUBASA NO DANSU!!

He didn't exactly sing the song but the background music is. It's like a remixed version. Damn he was HOT too... It was even better than the perfectly choreographed dance in Sugao 3.
His dance was more sophisticated and refined than Takki's. His costume wasn't overly revealing but it made me wonder how it would be if he just danced without anything covering him. ^^;;; It's very sensual.
I didn't care about the backdancers. I just paid attention to him and him only, since he just looks very good when he dances. Kakkoii... sugoku kakkoii! ^____________^
I didn't faint or anything, but I just... you know... stared at the screen, almost without blinking and jaws dropped. I immediately had the inspiration to make a music video for him in which he danced like that.
Oh, there was this part... he was hanging on a rope when he danced with smoke beneath him! Oh wow, I really wanted to swing on the rope with him, then pull him down and disappear into the smoke, doing something that people don't want to know. *evil smile* (Yes, Tsuba can make me feel that way now!)
I just know that I won't survive watching this VCD if Tsubasa participated in Takki's dance skit. Seriously.
The last dance scene was Takki + Tsuba with all the other Juniors... I like this one as well because Takki's leader of the blue team and Tsuba the read team and they acted a fight as a "plot" for their dancing. (Junno's in Tsuba's team, hehehe... just thought I mentioned that). This is very cool because of all the fighting parts... it's just funny to see those guys acting to fight!!! (I just hope they don't fight for real. EVER.)
Is that all? Yeah, I guess that's all. ^_^
DANSU WA SUGOII!!!!!!!!!! II DESU!!! KANPEKI!

FAVORITE COSTUME: Takki in "DJ~Under World" and Tsubasa in "True Heart ~Acoustic Version~"
Overall, the costumes in this concert isn't like the the concerts they had as Juniors. Of course, they still wore long coats, with furs and glitters and stuff... but they've toned down the colors and the style.
That Takki costume that I liked was an army-camouflage jacket, black leather pants (that he wore also in his erotic dance stage) and a pair of very, very cool shades!!! He was DJ-ing when he first appeared with this costume (I think) and he just looked excellent. It perfectly suited his performnance! He looked like a European DJ peforming in an underground club.
On the other hand, this Tsuba costume that I like is basically just normal black pants (jeans??) and a T-shirt with a Lotus and STP logo on the left chest part. It's so casual and I wonder why can't they just dress like that in concerts. ^^;;; This makes him look very much relaxed and it was really soothing to see him in this. I want to steal those pants. =D

MISCELLANEOUS: Juniors + Interview
I'd like to comment on this one scene, very funny, and no, IT'S NOT the part where Takki mistook his intro twice when he and Tsuba sang the acoustic version of "True Heart" and made Kazapon chase him with a punch threat. It's this scene during in one of the songs in Takki's medley sequence... I think it was "Words of Love", or before that, I'm not sure which... anyway, at this part, four of the KAT-TUN members who backdanced behind him (Junno included) had to lift him up. Takki must be heavy because I could see Junno's suffering expression. Seriously, I was LOL-ROTFL when I saw his face. I don't know who the four are (I just focused on my poor brother's face) but those two who didn't have to lift Takki are VERY, VERY LUCKY.

Curiosity #1:
Which Junior unit was it, the one that backdanced to Takki in "Ki.Se.Ki" wearing white suit and hats and backdancing??????????????????

I LOVE KAT-TUN. (^^;;; Just had to put this in).

Curiosity #2:
Why do the producers of this video have to put three performances of "True Heart"?? Do T&T love this song so much? Request from them? ^^;;;;;;;;

And the interview parts at the end of each discs... Takki and Tsubasa both look very kakkoii. Somehow Takki was really fair in complexion during that interview. Tsubasa wore a hat (cap??) sideways, so sweet. I haven't really paid attention to what they said in the interview. I was too busy scrutinizing their looks (of course they were both perfect). I'll have to check out the VCD again later to hear what they're talking about.

OVERALL
.............
Out of 10... NINE.
.............
Nope, it's not perfect. Let's get the things that I dislike out of the way first.
1. Not satisfied with the editing of the 1st disc. Many performances cut short. It's like they're running out of time, and rushing it. The result came out awkward to me.
2. Not enough scenes from the Dome concert. They left out a lot of details (I know, 'cause I read the CONCERT REPORT in 2nd Face: Tsubasa Imai and just half of them makes it to the video).
Personally, I think it would have been better, PERHAPS, if the Yokohama concert is not included in the same video as the Dome concert.
It would have been much more satisfying. ~_~
Oh well, but of course, I don't mind seeing Takki and Tsuba ANYTIME, ANYWHERE.

Now the things I like... LOTS, actually. I like the package, for one thing. It's very cool. Sophisticated is the word. The color is nice (black/silver). A booklet and postcard is included. Good price too. The disc is very nice too. ^_^ Silver with white fonts. Elegant.
The contents, of course I love it. It's Tackey & Tsubasa!!!
All in all, this is a MUST BUY. Don't just copy it from someone else, or buy pirated versions, if you're interested in watching it. Support T&T!!! It's AFFORDABLE!
Die-hard fans like me should BUY A SPARE COPY (some spare copies???) IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, even, because some scenes, if not the whole video, are definitely going to be watched OVER AND OVER AGAIN... don't want the discs (or tape) to be ruined, now, do we?? ;)
Jakarta dwellers can buy it in WOM (both TA and Citraland), although I'm pretty sure it's probably going to hit other stores' shelves in the upcoming weeks. *sigh*

End notes: I wanted to include some pictures from the concerts but I decided against it since everyone might have already seen it. It's already all over the place in various Johnny's-featuring magazines like WINK UP, DUET, POTATO, MYOJO, etc for pics. No need to bother showing them once again. Besides, I just think that T&T (and most other Johnny's artists) look better when they're on screen, moving, instead in a picture, which is static.

ENJOY!!!
