i watched some movies during the first 2 weeks of april, thanks to the HKIFF. these are some movies which i like.

--into the wild--
a good touching movie, and good soundtracks too. a guy driven by destiny, wanna travel Alaska alone. the photograph at the end of the movie is the strongest strike.
--Alexandra--
a Russian movie, very plain and slow-paced but with a lot of interesting dialogues, one of my favourite.
--Ulzhan--
a guy, driven by an mysterious force, wanna go east in Kazakhstan on foot, he met a word seller and the beautiful Ulzhan on his way. very good road adventure story, i like it more then "into the wild", one of my favourite.
--Once--
getting famous after the award of Oscar, the soundtracks are fxxking brilliant (well, i have to say in this way after watching it), but in fact the story is quite flat, i like the ending, though.

afterall, why "the warlords" could win 8 awards? this is  nonsense. Ann Hui's "the postmodern life of my aunt" is hell a lot better.

i saw a piece of news yesterday.

Absoulte Vodka launched an advertisement, showing the map of south-west USA and Mexico, before the war between them in 1848, Texas, California, Arizona and New Mexico were land of Mexico, after the war, the USA "stole"  these states. (in fact USA bought them, with a redicuous price).

the advertisement aims to show the "absolute utopia" of Mexican's heart, but it also arose the anger of the americans.

if the US government support the independent of Tibet, then they should let those states independent as well, or give them back to Mexico.

china government is not doing good enough to it's own people, that's true. the USA government is doing better to it's own people, but victomising other people in poor countries as well. we can't turn a blind eye to this. so who has human rights? the rich ones, or those with weapons.

there's no righteousness among governments. we can only see it among people. so pls be fair.

first of all, some photos from march were uploaded, also the visit of lamma island with ar9!

recently the controversy between tibet and the olympics is huge, first of all, i believe that the chaos in tibet is a conspiracy, which aims to embarrass the china government before olympics, and to arise internation focus on tibet issues, which is supported by the western powers, most likely the US (my wild guess).

i visited tibet 6 yrs ago, and from my memories, tibetans are living well there, although they're not rich. their religion is obviously within their soul and daily life.

so how can tibet being independent? may be through the UN, then army of UN or NATO will arrive tibet, in order to "protect" them. then china government may stop all trading and food supplies. afterall, tibetan politicians may gain power and get the freedom they wanted, under the will of western powers though. but i'm not sure if people could have a better living there.

i'd like to see tibet to become an independent country like Bhutan, as they're unique in china, but if they wanna achieve this by seeking help from others, it'll only hurt their young generation, who're fighting on the street, and being killed.
