| One of the highlights of my time in Thailand was Moo Baan Dek, a school that adopts children where the teachers are also parents. I spent a few weeks there "teaching English". It was an enlightening experience for me; I came away feeling blessed with everything and everyone I have in my life. These kids had experienced things I couldn't fathom, and instead of becoming wary and hardened, they were confident, self-reliant bundles of pure joy. |
| This is Boo, my best buddy from Moo Baan Dek. If the kids had a good day, a possible reward was a handful of cooling menthol powder. Boo put hers on her face so that she could look like me. Aww. (Notice the mismatched shoes!) |
