More: Akagi's ultimate dream is to get Shohoku into the nationals and be the best team in Japan, and Akagi's determination and dedication to this dream makes him an unbelievably strong player and person who is always unwilling to give up, and thus, a brilliant captain and leader of the Shohoku boys. Akagi practically toleratres anything to earn victory and achieve his dream - during the Kainan match, he twisted his ankle really badly but still blindly insisted on playing (and after my excruciating experience of spraining an ankle I completely understand that it is virtually impossible to even walk, let alone rebound -_-" but still...). In some areas Akagi can be considered to take things too seriously, but that's probably because he's a really hardworking guy - in studies and basketball. Akagi is probably the person who educates Sakuragi the most about basketball, but is also the only guy who can beat him up without getting a few bruises himself. ^_^" Watching Sakuragi getting lectured and punched by Akagi (in and out of games) is really funny..hehe..
Personal Opinion: Okay, he might be ugly..(^_^" I don't think anyone would want to disagree with me on that one...hehe...) but I think Akagi's a character very worth looking up to...his stubborn but also amazingly unwavering determination is something that at least I could learn a lot from... ^_^
