Petra |

Petra is a 2000 year old rock carved city of Nabataeans that flourished around the time of Christ and Romans. The entrance is a 1km long narrow gorge which was paved and had aqueducts carved on sides of cliffs. |

You can see the carved aqueduct on the left. A clay pipe carried the water into the city. The fissure gets narrower and cliffs taller as we approach the city. |
