Situated in an upmarket shopping mall, Nostalgia Of Mud ( was a corruption of Tom Wolfe's urbane putdown of middle-class  predilection for low-life seediness, nostalgia de la boue.) The shop  was instantly recognisabe with its exterior 3D map o Africa.  Inside palm tree lights, bare boards and painted scaffolding - the recycled look - soon became fashionable.
