Welcome to San Joaquin, Queretaro





San Joaquín is a municipality of the State of Querétaro. It is one of the coldest areas in the State, and is home to numerous apple orchards.



Location




San Joaquin is a beautiful municipality possessor of exuberantes wooded landscapes; cascades, grottos and a surprising archaeological zone complement the panorama. Also they must know cave paintings the Peach tree, the Mercuries and San Francisco Gatos; The Grottos of the Herrera, are a place whose visit is forced, as well as those of Santa Ana and the Hernandez.

In April of every year, from 1970, the National Aid of Huapango is made (Pop music of the Huasteca) that, by their quality, the INBA (National Institute of Beautiful Arts) has classified it like third in importance at national level.

This Municipality is located to the northwest of the state, to 135 kilometers of the City of Santiago de Querétaro; it limits with the Municipalities of Jalpan, Cadereyta and Pinal de Amoles. Its annual temperature is of 13 Cs, but in winter it can descend up to 2 Cs and its height is of 2.400 meters on the level of the sea.
