| Some Rights of the Child "Indeed lost are they who have killed their children, from folly without knowledge & have forbidden that which Allah has provided for them, inventing a lie against Allah. They have indeed gone astray & were not guided."(6:140) "And kill not your children for fear of poverty. We provide for them & for you. Surely, the killing of them is a great sin."(17:31) "And no soul shall bear the sin of another."(35:18) Allah has prescribed breastfeeding for our children, whether the mother or someone else provides it, with guaranteed rights to all parties involved so none will be harmed. The Child has the right to a good name. Islam prohibits the killing of women & children. Children have the right to be free from all kinds of harm. Islam commands us to protect the lives of children, whether muslim or not. We must protect foundlings from loss & going astray. Islam is very concerned with the preservation of the life of children as well as being merciful & kind to them. |
