Shinobu Sensui or nicknamed, ”Black Angel,” is the main nemesis in the Chapter Black saga. He is one of the seven psychics and the most powerful one out of the group. Sensui is tall with slicked back hair; he usually wears casual clothes and has some sort of jewel looking thing on his forehead. He was a Spirit Detective before Yusuke came along and he began working for Koenma in high school. At a young age (around 5) Sensui could sense apparitions with great skill, but unlike many other rare cases at his age, he could destroy them. You are probably wondering how did he become a villain and threat to humanity. It had all started when he and his assistant went on a mission to close a 10 meter wide portal between demon and human world, because the Black Black Club had been trapping demons when they came through the tunnel and sold them at enormous profits. When Spirit World had gotten a big tip on the demon trade, it had been discovered that a major gathering of traders were coming together. So following orders he and his assistant had gone to stop them, but when Sensui arrived he had seen something horrible, it was a ritual party known as, ”The Feast of Human Vices,” the party had consisted of humans torturing demons with no motivation except for their own enjoyment. Here humans were committing acts thousands times worse than anything demons would do. The change was too great it had gone against everything he had believed in, and he fell into a rage killing all of the people at the party. After that he took the Chapter Black video from the vaults in Spirit World and never had shown his face until now. Now he wants to kill every human for their collective sins and atone for them.
I took that long so you would be able to understand his story although it may have been a little too long…oh well now it is time for his techniques. (There could be more since I have not seen the whole saga so I will list what I have seen so far). Sensui, much like Yusuke can store his energy at one point and release it. Sensui’s fighting technique is called Resshuuken and it is a special form of martial arts that relies on fast footwork; the fighter maintains his position while diverting attacks using his arms and retaliates with powerful kicks. As Genkai had explained while Yusuke and Sensui were scrapping in the street. There are very strict rules in learning the Resshuuken style, only if the user has every other technique under his belt may they use this style, for this reason many consider it to be the strongest and most elegant style in martial arts. Sensui can blend this style with his energy which is an immpresive feat which many cannot accomplish. He has a technique, which he calls the Resshuu-Koukyuuha and to use it he gathers energy and kicks it like a soccer ball at his opponent, it is a very powerful technique it even rivals the Spirit Gun. |
