Kuwabara is also a self declared, "Number 1 Delinquent of Sarayashiki Jr. High School". Of course, it's the same school that Yusuke attends. Kuwabara used to fight with Yusuke every day. He lost over 156 times in a row to Yusuke (He never won). He is probably the second strongest student of the school. He becomes a part of the group when he goes to speak with Genkai about his ESP. They both compete to learn her Spirit Wave techniques and during the match, Kuwabara meets Botan. He immediately asks her if she will "go out with him on the premise that they will someday marry" which sort of freaks Botan out.     Later on in the contest, Kuwabara learns how to form his sptrit energy into a sword which he calls the Spirit Sword. He insists on helping Yusuke out once he discovers what kind of work Yusuke has to do for the spirit world. He also, later, falls in love with Yukina, the pretty ice demon who was kidnapped and held hostage by Toguro and Tarukane.     Kuwabara is loud and rambunctious but a nice guy with a soft spot for a pretty girl, or a kitty.     His techniques include his Spirit Sword where he gathers energy into his palm and then extends it into an object (In this case a sword).Later in the series he can have two spirit swords instead of one if he wishes.
