- This is a trick to disable the arrow which is shown in any shortcut to softwares/others placed in desktop. Goto Start then Run and Enter regedit. Navigate to registry key [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT/lnkfile]. Delete the IsShortcut registry value. Restart Windows XP.(lnkfile - here first letter is small L not big i so do not confuse )
- NOW THE SHORTCUTS IN DESKTOP AND ALL WHERE IN WINDOWS WILL NOT HAVE THE ARROW WHICH INDICATED THAT IT'S A SHORTCUT.
