BIKES
At present time there are limited number of bicycles for rent, and we advise those who want to go biking in the Macedonian Lakeland (or, elsewhere in Macedonia) to make sure bikes are available prior to arrival.
GUIDES
are provided for all organized tours, or can be hired by individuals, particularly for those wishing to explore the area on their own. Our guides are professionals with many years of experience in tourism and have the necessary knowledge of the area, local history, traditions.
CURRENCY EXCHANGE
The Macedonian Denar (MKD) is the official currency unit in the Republic of Macedonia. The exchange rate is around 61 MKD to One Euro.

Exchange is easy with a choice between regular banks for checks and credit cards, and small privately owned exchange offices for cash. In addition, most large hotels offer exchange facilities, as do Central Post Offices. They are all legal and regulated. There are two working ATM in the town of Ohrid.
Before departure, the unused Macedonian Denars can be exchanged in any other foreign currency.
TELEPHONES
are available everywhere - public and private. Mobiles are in wide use on the GSM system.
Be carefull when making long distance calls from hotels - they charge extra!
TAXIS
are available everywhere at any time, and use a meter. They are also cheap and affordable for every tourist.
RENTAL CARS
Small cars: One day 30 Euro (100 km distance limit + supplement of 5 MKD per km above the 100 km limit)
Middle cars: One day 37 Euro (100 km distance limit + supplement of 7 MKD per km above the 100 km limit)
Top class cars: One day 52 Euro (100 km distance limit + supplement of 7 MKD above the 100 km limit)
