Africans to see themselves as Missionaries rather

neglected villages in Ghana.

Relief & Development programme

church ministries.

Christian leaders and churches.

-
- MINISTRY PROFILE
- Our Main areas of ministry are:
- Education and Training, Church Planting, Relief
and Development, Leadership Conferences and
Seminars,, Children, Youth and Ladies Ministries.
- 1. DISCIPLESHIP TRAINING SCHOOL (DTS)
- The DTS is designed to enable the Christian to
grow in their relationship to God and to prepare
them for their part in world missions. It is
residential and comes on twice in a year
beginning January and July respectively. Over the
past years, the DTS has brought together people
of all ages from the teens to those in their
sixties, representing many different
denominations and cult ures, for training in the
ways of God. The program made up of a 3-month
classroom phase followed by a 2-month OUTREACH
phase has a strong emphasis on Christian
character development and personal application of
truth. The main thrust of the DTS is to Kno w God
and Make Him Known. The OUTREACH PHASE gives
students the opportunity to put into practice
principles taught in the classroom. We carry out
the outreaches in a way that helps students gain
experience in front-line evangelism and full-time
service.
- LECTURES are given by anointed visiting speakers
from different parts of the world and resident
staff.TOPICS include knowing God and His
character, Hearing the voice o f God,
Intercession and Spiritual Warfare, Relationship
principles, Gifts and Ministries of the Holy
Spirit, Evangelism and Missions etc. The DTS is
the entry point for further training and service
in Youth With A Mission. DTS Workshops: We
organize Discipleship Training School workshops
for Churches on request. This normally takes a
whole week to last. It takes place in the host
Church' s premises.
- 2. SCHOOL OF CHURCH PLANTING AND
LEADERSHIP (SCPL)
- The SCPL is offered through the college of
Christian Ministries of the University of the
Nations (U of N). It is designed to develop
ministry giftings and to prepare students in a
way that naturally results in effective
leadership and ministry in the church. The
program helps students gain appropriate unde
rstanding of church life, church leadership and
the role of the church in world evangelism and
missions and prepares them for their role in
church leadership and church planting. It is open
to people at any level of Christian leadership,
of varying ages and degrees of experience. The
SCPL lasts for 3 months in the CLASSROOM and is
followed by an INTERNSHIP PHASE of 3 or more
months. The training are offered through this
course is often not available at Bible Colleges
and Seminaries here. SPEAKERS include some of the
most dynamic leaders in the forefront of missions
and modern movements in church planting, growth
and renewal. CURRICULUM include CHURCH PLANTING
PRINCIPLES, LEADERSHIP PRINCIPLES, CHURCH GROWTH
AND RENEWAL, SPIRITUAL GROWTH IN CHURCH LIFE,
TRAINING AND MOBILIZATION FOR MINISTRY, RELEASING
PEOPLE INTO MINISTRY, KEYS TO HEALTHY CHURCH
LIFE, SPIRITUAL LEADERS ' MARRIAGE & FAMILY
LIFE.
- 3. SCHOOL OF BIBLICAL STUDIES (SBS)
The 9-month course involves intensive self-study
of the Bible. Students are trained in observation
of what the text actually says. They are taught
the principles of interpretation, considering
historical and linguistic background information,
to discern what the text meant to the original
readers, and from this to draw appli cation, what
the text means to us today, both individually and
corporately. Using these 3 steps, the student
will study all 66 Books of the Bible, each of
which will be read up to five times, outlined and
charted.
- 4. COMMUNICATION AND BIBLICAL VIEW OF
MAN (CBVM) The 3 month course is all
about seeking God and discerning His message for
your life and for mankind in general. This
training programme prepares one to be more
effective as a speaker and writer; enables one to
impact your immediate culture and generation with
communication born in Biblical principles; gives
one verbal and written communication skills that
assist one in future ministry and academic work;
and teaches one to write a skillful newsletter, a
creative book review and an original resea rch
paper.
- 5. CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
- Our Christian Education Complex which took off on
the 4th of September 2001 on a 16-acre plot in
the industrial city of Tema will include a
Kindergarten, primary school, Junior and Senior
High School and a Vocational and Technical
Training facility. We have however started with a
Kindergaten, and primaries one and two. It will
be a system of education based on Biblical
foundations that will help cultivate in Children
and the Youth a lifestyle of wholeness that will
influ ence their peers, families, churches and
society. At the school, children will be brought
up not only with academic excellence, but also
with the knowledge and fear of God.
- 6. CHURCH PLANTING
- We are involved in church planting in specific
rural areas of Ghana identified to be least
evangelized. We feel challenged not only to
preach to people but also establish permanent
Christian witnesses in the communities we reach
out to. In the past few years our DTS outreaches
have targeted some of such villages in Ghana and
it is exciting what the Lord is doing. Several
churches have been planted and are being pastored
by past DTS graduates. Light, life and hope is
being restored to people who once were bound in
stark darkness with hopelessness poverty and dep
ravity, Occult, Islam and idol infested areas are
being taken over by the power of the gospel.
- CHURCH BUILDINGS In every village where we plant
a church we target to see them worship in their
own church building. This is happening amazingly
in most of the villages.
- 7. RELIEF AND DEVELOPMENT
- In line with our vision to minister to the whole
man, the Relief and Development ministry seeks
ways to help individuals and communities stand on
their feet in their area of physical and material
need. Clothing and primary medical distributions,
health care assistance and rehabilitation works
have brought smiles to a lot of families in our
target areas.
- VILLAGE TOILET PROJECT One other area of vital
need we are tackling is the provision of decent
toilet facilities for poor communities that have
no toilet at all. Our goal is to work together
with the native people to see decent toilets
provided in all such communities where the Lord
sends us.
- VILLAGE SCHOOL PROJECT It is pathetic to see most
children in the poor villages loitering around
without going to school. Most often because there
are no Living' schools there. As part of our
development program our vision is to start
schools in every such poor village where we
preach the gospel. We have already taken off in
some of the villages and the schools are doing
very well. The children are getting saved and
they are affecting their homes.
- FARMS Agricultural development is another area we
are focusing on. A 24-acre plot of land in a town
near Tema is earmarked for various agricultural
projects including animal rearing. The church in
the villages are also being encouraged to go into
farming. Some of the churches are already into
pineapple, cassava, maize and tree farming.
- 8. LEADERSHIP CONFERENCES AND SEMINARS
- As part of our commitment to working in
partnership with all God' s churches and people
for the fulfillment of the Great Commission we
organize conferences and seminars aimed at
preparing Christian leaders for effective
ministry in the church. Through such seminars
unity is being promoted and bridges are being
built among leaders, churches and missions. We
run several of these in a year - nationwide,
citywide and local.
- 9. CHILDREN AND YOUTH MINISTRIES -
KING' S KIDS
- King' s Kids is dedicated to discipling children
and the youth, bringing the word of God to their
level and helping them develop personal
relationship with the LORD. They reach out to the
lost in cities, towns and villages, in schools,
at market places and street corners,
communicating the gospel through music, creative
movements, drama, one-on-one evangelism and
personal testimonies.
- 10.LADIES MINISTRIES
- Our ministry to ladies embraces ladies groups in
churches, Christian fellowships and para-church
organizations. We minister to them m ainly
through conferences, workshops and church based
teachings, designed to bring a holistic
development to the lady as a Christian at home,
in church and outside the church.
