Medical Diversions |
What is a medical diversion-A medical diversion is an unscheduled landing of an airplane caused by an ill passenger. So rather then wait for their destination, they land ASAP. |
Signs of a medical diversion-You should always look to see if it is a carrier that doesn't come into YWG a lot. Also the size of the plane might seem a little strange becuase the normal YWG visitors will seem really small. Put it this way, if it has 4 engines, you should be at the airport. Also look for fire trucks around the plane, they carry EMT's which help aid the passenger. And one other thing, if the plane stays only for about an hour it is probaly a medical, this is becuase it takes about an hour to refuel the aircraft and unload the ill passenger. |
