| 2-24-2004 Greetings all! Well I am happy to be able to say that I survived that first round and that the Powers That Be are keeping this section up. Besides, chicks dig me. And if there's anything the wrestling world digs right now, its WrestleMania XX. Anyway. How about Eddie Gurrarro winning the WWE Title at No Way Out? It has been along time coming for Latino Heat, and I for one am happy to see the belt around his waist. HOWEVER, it will be a completly different thing to see if he can carry SmackDown! into WrestleMania. I'm really a fan of Kurt Angle as a heel though (NEVER saw that one coming last week), and I think that Angle & Gurrarro will have a good program going into "the grand daddy of them all." MY OPINION, I don't see Latino Heat holding the belt after Mania though. And speaking of WWE Champions, I would really like to see the World Title around Chris Benoit after WrestleMania. It's been an up-hill battle for the Rabid Wolverine ever since he got screwed out of the SAME belt in WCW when they learned he wasn't going to renew his contract. But I think the show stopper (sorry HBK its not you) will be the return of the Undertaker. Every vignette that has been aired since the infamous Royal Rumble GONG, has just sent chills down my spine. Hopefully he comes back as the Dead Man, the CLASSIC Undertaker. But it wouldn't be the first time WWE has let down it's fans. And finnally this month, the YWO has announced the first event of the 2004 season, Ressurection. It falls on Saturday, May 15. And ironically enough that also happens to be the date of former YWO Superstar, Purple Hayes' birthday! Hows that for a kick in the pants for the former champ, who was KICKED out of the Fed at one of the last events. But now the YWO has been brought back to life. ~Page Guy out. |
