| 1-27-2004 Greetings all! Welcome to the Page Guy Rants. The powers that be finnally saw fit to give me my own section. Oh SURE! I had one before, but it was just editor's notes. Know what that means? I was just another guy working for THE MAN. But now I can...well anyway. let's get on to wrestling. Well we're just coming off the heels of WWE's Royal Rumble, and I for one felt it was lack luster at best. For one, SmackDown! built up this feud between Hardcore Holly & Brock Lesnar for weeks, then they culminate it with a five minute match where Holly was basically Lesnar's b*tch. Secondly, WHY did they have to end the HHH Shawn Micheals match in double countout? And lastly, Spike Dudley officially made my list of people I hate for no good reason because we all thought that the Undertaker was coming back, the REAL UNDERTAKER! Amittedly, after RAW we all found out that he hopefully WILL be coming back as the Dead Man, but still. Why is it that the YWO never seems to have enough people to put on a quality match? I really think that we need another big federation to compete with WWE. Their product is still on a downward spiral ever since WCW and ECW went out of bussiness. NWA is getting there. If you haven't checked out their Total Non-Stop Action (TNA) on Wed. night on PPV, you definitely should. Does anyone remember the UPWA (Upper Penninsula Wrestling Organization)? Or how about Triad?
