The Acl Pump Mod AKA BK Mod for the 98-99' YZF's
Now this mod is really easy to do and it works really well! What you need to do it get a wheel collar from a RC model car. The best wheel collar to use is a 3/32 size.

You need to install the wheel collar on the pump actuating arm which is on the pipe side of the bike. If you have a 98' or a 99' Yzf you will see a brass rod going to the acl pump at the bottom of the carb.

With this wheel collar in place on the rod it will act as a stop and will limit the pump stroke (aka infamous BK mod). Which the P38 pump does but this mod is alot cheaper! This mod will be fully adjustable to where ever you want your pump stroke set at.

Here's a picture of a 2000 yzf carb which doesn't have the pump arm on the outside but I drew it in. Sorry I don't have a digital camera right now to take pictures. But from this pic you should get the idea of what has to be done. If not I would suggest in not trying this mod.

This mod you shouldn't need to change your jetting. Guys at the TT forums say the main jet sometimes needs to be richin up, but that will really have a small effect on the bottom end to mid range.  If you think you are running to lean then move your clip up one on the needle to solve that problem.
