      The misconception of our club

  Astrology: n [u]  The study of the relationship between the movements of the stars and their influence on people and events. (LONGMAN new edition)

In others words, people thinks that we try to predict our future with the constellations. Much like the last column of the newspapers which tells people what to expect of the coming days for the different people of the different constellations.

                Astronomy : n [u] The scientific study of the stars.

What we do is to approach the subject with scientific method to understand the moon,  solar system, stars, galaxies, universe, etc. Therefore we can better appreciate our sky better, and explain some of the puzzling questions we have, like, are we alone, how long would our sun last, etc.
