Memorial
We encountered this shrine on the road to Krekenava. It was at a lonely crossroads and we simply had to stop. It's a memorial for a local woodcarver. Somewhere, I have a translation of the sign next to the carving. When I find it, I will post the translation here. I liked this carving so much that I used it as the icon for the column I write in Ink 19 online.
These are actually from the Folk Life Museum in Rumsiskes. This picture shows a unique fence. The photo to the left shows a small settlement that was relocated to the museum.
