Having Problems Viewing our Class Website?

You may want to try downloading and installing the Firefox web browser.  It is a much quicker and up-to-date browser.  It also does a better job of quickly handling all of the new components you'll find on this and other webpages.  You can download for FREE it by clicking here or on the icon to the right.

Your child has until October 23rd to take A.R. tests that will count toward their 1st quarter A.R. goal.   A link to the A.R. site is provided to you in order to allow you to keep up-to-date on your child's A.R. progress.  No testing is possible outside of regular school hours.

The Accelerated Reader program is a reading incentive program whereby students read color-coded library books and then go to a computer to take a short quiz on their comprehension of the story. The computer awards points to the student based on the difficulty of the book, how long it is, and the student's performance on the quiz.  Student's earn prizes as they reach point target levels.

If you need to look at a list of books for which there are A.R. tests, please go to the A.R. BookFinder website.  You can use this site to look for a book for your child, according to subject, area of interest, author, series, etc.

Study Island is available for all 5th graders to use to improve their math and reading skills.  It is available 24/7 at studyisland.com.  Your child should already know their username and password for access.  If they don't need it please let me know and I will try to get it asap.
