Signs and Wonders
I hope this is a study you will enjoy it is a little lengthy but there are many pearls to be gleaned from it Praise be to the Father YHVH for his awesome rain in due season.
Revelations 13:11 ¶ And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.( WE KNOW THAT THIS IS THE SPURIOUS MESSIAH)12 And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him,( THE ONE WORLD POLITICAL SYSTEM) and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.13 And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
He will be able to cause lightening to come down from out of the sky in the sight of men.
Revelations 13:14 And DECEIVETH them that dwell on the earth BY THE MEANS OF THOSE MIRACLES which he had POWER to do in the sight of the beast; saying to them that dwell on the earth, that they should make an image to the beast, which had the wound by a sword, and did live.
I think it is important that you note the method in which he shall be able to deceive, by those miracles. He has power as it is stated. Many are not prepared for the things he shall be doing. Lets go to 2 Thessalonians chapter 2
2 Thessalonians 2:8 And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:
( AND I SAY NOT UNTIL THEN NOTE THERE IS A COLON WHICH MEANS IT WILL ELABORATE FURTHER ON WHAT HAS BEEN SAID)
2 Thessalonians 2:9 Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders,
He shall not return until after the working of satan there goes that rapture theory straight out the window. This is what we came here for note satan has power and shall be performing signs and wonders, those that were spoken of in Revelations 12 by which he deceives those that dwell on the earth.
Lets go to Matthew 24
Matthew 24:23 Then if any man shall say unto you, Lo, here is Christ, or there; believe it not.24 For there SHALL ARISE false Christs, and false prophets, and SHALL SHEW GREAT SIGNS AND WONDERS; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect
False Christ in the Greek is pseudochristos which means a spurious Messiah. False prophets in the Greek is pseudoprophetes which means a spurious prophet, i.e. pretended foreteller or religious impostor.
We know from 2 Corinthians 11:14 & 15 that satan and his ministers are disguised ( the word in the English is transformed the Greek word means disguised )as angels of light. We also know from Revelations 12: 8 & 9 that satan and his angels shall be casted out to the earth.
Did it say maybe? No, they shall arise and shall shew great signs and wonders.
Matthew 24:25 Behold, I have told you before.
Christ is saying look here I have foretold you about this. Were is it written lets go there. Go with me to Deuteronomy chapter 13.
Deuteronomy 13:1 ¶ If there arise among you a prophet, or a dreamer of dreams, and giveth thee a sign or a wonder,
(We know from Matthew 24 that the spurious messiah and the false prophets shall arise and shall perform those signs and wonders in the sight of those that dwell on the earth)
Deuteronomy 13:2 And the sign or the wonder come to pass, whereof he spake unto thee, saying, Let us go after other gods, which thou hast not known, and let us serve them;
(Remember what it said in Revelations it is by those miracles that he deceives and causes the whole world to worship him thinking he is God)
Deuteronomy 13:3 Thou shalt not hearken unto the words of that prophet,( REMEMBER WHAT IT SAID IN MATTHEW 24 :23 MANY SHALL SAY LO HERE IS CHRIST OR THERE, BELIEVE THEM NOT) or that dreamer of dreams: for the LORD your God PROVETH YOU, TO KNOW WHETHER YE LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD with all your heart and with all your soul.
Don't look over the reason for it all.To prove his children to see who loved him enough to get into his Word and listen to what he says and not some man.
Deuteronomy 13:4 Ye shall WALK after the LORD your God, and FEAR him, and KEEP his commandments, and OBEY his voice, and ye shall SERVE him, and CLEAVE unto him.
That is 6 things in which you must do in order to found pleasing unto the Father. 6 is the number of the weakness of man, thus when proven if these 6things were not performed by us it is the manifestation of sin.
Deuteronomy 13:5 And that prophet, or that dreamer of dreams, shall be put to death; because he hath spoken to turn you away from the LORD your God, which brought you out of the land of Egypt, and redeemed you out of the house of bondage, to thrust thee out of the way which the LORD thy God commanded thee to walk in. So shalt thou put the evil away from the midst of thee.
We see here the judgment of them that shall perform this and as we know satan and those fallen angels are sentenced to perish as it is written in Ezekiel 28 and Jude.
Lets go one more place to complete this study I want to look at the positive side of this because as we know for every negative there is positive. Lets go to Isaiah.
Isaiah 8:16 ¶ Bind up the testimony, seal the law among my disciples.
Disciples those that are disciplined in the Word of God. Those who are instructed and taught.Bind what the Testimony and the Law that is 2 things which is the number of witnessing. This is the seal of God.
Isaiah 8:17 And I will WAIT upon the LORD, that hideth his face from the house of Jacob, and I will LOOK for him.
That is 2 things we should do wait and look that word look in the Hebrew is look patiently. We see that number of witnessing again. That word hide in the Hebrew is to hide by covering. Jacob is the natural seed of the 12 tribes.
Isaiah 8:18 Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.
That is Yahshua and those that are sealed God's elect are for what? Signs and Wonders. This is likewise spoken about in Zech. 3:8 - 9 and Christ spoke of this in John 6:39
Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead?20 To the law and to the testimony: if they speak not according to this word, it is because there is no light in them.
That is how you check one out if they speak not according to this word. There is no light in them remember what is said in 2 Corinthians 11: 14 & 15 satan and his ministers who are disguised as angels of light, here it plainly states there is no light in them, Christ is the light and as we know there can not be two masters of an house. A good tree bringeth forth good fruit and a bad tree bringeth forth bad fruit.
