TrackEye software is a computer vision software prepared by Zafer SAVAS as a part of his master thesis.
It is a Real-Time software for tracking human face, eyes & pupils with rotation and scale invariance property. It can also be used for blink detection, human-machine interaction (Remote device control using hand) and 2D-trajectory extraction from video sequences.
About the author & How Does It
Work?
TrackEye was written by Zafer SAVAS using Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 and Intel
Open Source Computer Vision Library (OpenCV). TrackEye is a part of my
Master Thesis work in Electrical&Electronics Engineering Department of
Middle East Technical University (www.metu.edu.tr).
Detailed features of the software can listed as follows;

- Scale and Rotation invariant Face Detection/Tracking - Eye area detection/Tracking using Adaptive EigenEye method which was proposed by the author - Eye Feature extraction such as eye outline detection and pupil detection - Tracking of eye features - Remote controlling using eye movements - Blink Detection (has to be improved a little :)) - Color Object Tracking and Real-Time 2D Trajectory extraction |
Requirements for the software are very simple as at the beginning of the project what it was aimed to be; a standard PC and a commercial cheap USB Camera.
