Climate and Living Conditions
The unusual climate is a cold and dry one.

Milder climates occur during the summer(sun comes out for almost 24 hours).

45-50 degrees F is the warmest it ever gets in the tundra.

During the winter it is usually dark throughtout the day with no sun, yet it is terribly cold.

The barren snowscape, exposes platueas of high level to barren ground.

It never gets above 20 degrees F in the winter and the average temperature in winter is -20 to -30degrees F.

Tundra winds are always blowing very hard.

Not many animals live in the tundra for it is pretty cold and most animals can't survive in the artic.

Small flowering plants are able to survive because they dont need sun, but they do need water.

Because the artic is far from the equator it always is cold with sun here and there, but almost never any sun (only for a little while in the summer).
