I found this series back in 2003, and even after the long wait for new episodes, I have been completely hooked. Why? Quite simply because this is one superb film. I'll start with the animation itself.

The animation in this series is by far the best I have ever seen done with Flash, especially the later episodes. The characters are detailed and the backrounds are beautifully drawn, filled with detail and depth. It really needs to be seen to be believed. This is not look like your average 2D Flash animation, I could see this compare to animated films in Hollywood.

But no good movie is anything without a story, and Ninjai has a very fitting one. It tells the story of a young boy named Ninjai (big suprise there) who is travelling through the world, trying the figure out who he is. The thing I really like about the story is the amount of depth behind the characters. Ninjai is a deadly fighter in combat, yet he is also playful and child-like, as is shown in his interactions with a litlle bird that joins him early in the series. He also shows great stoicism during times of great peril, further adding to his deep character. And the villain is a crazed, vicious animal, someone Ninjai needs to contend with during his adventure.

The score of the series is superb, all original work. It ranges from Ninjai's soothing melody, to the villain's dark, menacing theme. Very well done.

So this is really a must-watch for animation lovers and film lovers alike, it is a good story that looks and sounds very good, and it is free for all to watch. The series is not over, but after you watch all the current episodes, I am sure you will be avidly awaiting the next one.
