Corporate Prayer

Corporate Prayer Aim: To appreciate the importance and significance of corporate prayer. Passages: Acts 2:42; 1 Tim 2:1-2

PRAYER means bringing forth to Yahweh that which is in the heart, expressing the needs and dependence on Him, and establishing a close relationship and fellowship. Prayer is also like talking to Yahweh, praising, thanking HIM and worshipping.

Corporate Prayer Expresses audibly (by participating brothers and jointly supported by the assembly gathered), the needs of the assembly and dependence on Him. This establishes the close relationship and fellowship between a local assembly and d. Thanksgiving, praises and worship are not excluded.

THE SPIRITUAL VALUE OF PRAYER MEETINGS

1. Edification of assembled saints.

2. Evidence of fellowship and labour together

3. Exercise of heart deepened with resultant blessings from Yahweh (Matt 18:19)

CONDITIONS FOR EFFECTIVE PRAYER

Faith Emunah (James 1:6)

Proper Motives (James 4:3)

Purity of heart(1Jn 1:7-9, Ps 66:18; James 5:16)

A forgiving Spirit (Mark 11:25-26; Matt 5:23-24)

A willing Submission to His will

Patience in watching, steadfast in continuance (Rom 12:12; Col 4:2, 1 Peter 4:7) - Abiding in Messiah (Jn 15:7)

In the Name of Adonai Yahushua HaMashiach (Jn 14:13-14)
