THE CELTS
"THE AZTEC CALENDAR"
This recording explores the mythical origins of the Aztec Calendar, as well as
astronomical, historical, and social influences. It also explains every detail
of the Calendar Stone (housed in the Museo de Antropologia in Mexico City):
the Inner Circle -- the God Tonatiuh and the Four Creations; the Circle of
Days-- 20 day-symbols, with their corresponding god-patrons, directional
references on the compass and human anatomical correspondences. There is
musical background which makes the narration more interesting and dramatic.
