Vegetable Oil for deep frying. |

Preparation |

|
|
1.soak the cracked wheat for 30minutes in water. Drain the water. |
|
|
|
2. Mix the meat, chopped onion, salt and pepper in a food processor and blend until well mixed.Add the cracked wheat and blend until the mixture is soft enough to work like a dough. Knead well by hand |

3.To make the stuffing, saute the onion in oil until translucent, then add the pine-nuts and fry till golden. Stir in the meat, salt and pepper. Cook until meat is all done. |

4.Make the egg shaped balls.First wet hands with some cold water. Take little of the mixture and roll into a ball. Make a well in the centre with your finger and put a spoonful of stuffing in to the well and close it.Roll it and make the ends pointy. Repeat this with the rest of the mixture. |

5.Heat the oil for deep frying.Fry the kibbeh until brown and crispy. Serve hot. Makes 20. |
