Murukulu Ingredients Rice 2cups or 3cups rice flour. urad dal 1/2cup Butter 4tsp Zeera 1/4tsp Chilli powder 1/2tsp turmeric 1/4tsp salt Oil for deep frying Method 1.Wash and soak the rice for 2hrs.drain the water and spread the rice on a clean cloth.allow to dry overnight .Next day grind it .or use 3cups of rice flour. 2.Roast the urad dal until light brown and grind it to a smooth flour. 3.Mix both the flours.Add salt and spices. 4.Melt the butter.Make a dough with the flour mixture,butter and warm water. 5.Heat oil and press the dough in the murukul maker. 6.fry until light brown and crispy. 7.cool and store in air tight container for a long shelf life. Variations: 1.Rice 2cups and Besan flour 1/4cup 2.Rice 11/2 cups ,Moongdal flour 1/4cup,Besan flour 1/4cup. |
