Sambar
Ingredients
Toovar Dal 1cup
Cherry tomatoes 4
Carrots (cut in small cubes) 1
Onions (cut in big pieces) 1
Green Pumpkin(cut in cubes) 1/2
Tamarind paste 2Tbsp
Red chilli powder 1/4Tsp
Pinch of Tumeric
Curry leaves,Garlic clove ,Zeera , Mustard seeds and Red chilles For Tadka
Oil

Method
1.Wash and Soak the dal for about 10minutes
2.Boil it with a cup of water and pinch of tumeric and  red chilli powder untill tender
3.In a separate vessel boil the vegetables in tamarind water(about 2cups) until tender.
3.Mash the dal and add salt and tamarind water with vegetables.
4.Add sambar masala.Bring to a Boil
5.preapare tadka and pour over the dal.
6.Serve with rice,
idli or any dosa or vada.
