The benefits of Zakat |
We must realize that what we have, be it property or money, is a gift which Allah has allowed us to acquire. Allah has full control over our possessions even as He does with our lives. |
(34:24)If Allah has commanded us to give up every little thing we have ,even our lives, then it would be our duty to place everything before him quietly and obediently |
But out of Mercy Allah has promised never to place burdens on us beyond what we can bear and in fact, quite generously asks us to give only two and half percent after expenses each year! |
Allah has placed enormous rewards for giving zakat.Allah has said: |
"the example of people who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah is like a kernel of corn: it grows seven ears has a hundred kernels. Allah gives abundant increase to whoever He wants to for Allah care for all and knows all things. those people who spend their wealth in the cause of Allah and who do not follow their gifts with reminders of how generous they were, nor with hurtful humiliation ,they shall have their reward with Allah and they will not be afraid nor will they be sad" |
In the above ayat(quranic verse)Allah are three promises which Allah makes to people who pay Zakat. |
First Allah will pay them back a hundred or more times for what they give, either in life,in the next or both.Second they will have great rewards in the next life and Third they will not be afraid or sad on the day of Judgement. |
The blessed PropherMohammad(pbuh) once said: |
"there are three things that a person can gain that will give them the real joy of the faith: |
firstly ,to serve Allah and nothing else but Him; secondly , to believe sincerely in |
La ilahailla Allah; and lastly , to give the Zakat Cheerfully every year on one's property." |
Muslim who does their duty properly will have a special feeling of satisfaction and tranquility in there heart, the poor will not feel so jealous of the wealth of theres and may in fact wish others well and pray for there success. |
