Tamarind Rice

Ingredients
Rice 2cups
Tamarind 1tsp
Chana dal 1tsp
Groundnuts/peanuts 1/4cup
Mustard seeds 1/2tsp
Red chillies 4
Zeera(cumin seeds) 1tsp
Ginger chopped 1/2tsp
Turmeric 1/4tsp
Chilli powder 1/4tsp
Green chillies 2
Vegetable Oil -2tbsp
Salt-1tsp

Method
1.Wash and soak rice for 10minutes.Cook in 4cups of water.
2.In 2Tbsp of oil add chanadal,peanuts,mustard seeds,red chillies,green chillies, ginger,zeera and roast until lightly brown.
3.Add tamarind paste and 1/2 cup of water.Add turmeric and chilli powder. simmer for a minute.
4.Mix the rice in the tamarind mixture and Serve
