In the End |
War’s beginning was no surprise; but; was the decision wise? A country’s president set a date; Has this defined our planet’s fate? There’s a dictator who obeys no rule, and he thinks that fighting for him is an obligation. To jeweled eyed children, he’s cruel; this just had to be taken into consideration. In the end of the long lane; which of these causes less pain? To sacrifice a few brothers and fathers, or feel how a disturbing regimen bothers? |
Note: This was done in the first semester of 2003 as an assignment on a poem on how I felt about the upcoming war. |
