Though all the great kingdoms and alliances have been formed for over half a millennium, history has not simply stopped. Herein are recorded some of the most important events of the last few hundred years.

An Uneasy Peace
The Benitians and the Maleans have engaged in three great wars in the past two hundred years. Between wars, there is a long enough gap for a child to grow old enough to fight before the warring inevitably begins again. Currently, there is peace, but it is a still and tense peace.
There is an uneasy peace in Entasia. The hottest conflict is between the Benitians and the Maleans, and much hangs in this balance. Should war break out, many hypothesize that the Formatian Empire would join on the side of the Benitians, though the Leech and Illuminati would join on the side of the Maleans. Unable to effectively fight a two-front war, the Formatians would have to focus on defending their northwestern borders. The Chaos Hordes remain un-unified. The Materians will most likely remain neutral in all things, and the Proteans will probably only attack if attacked, though many believe they may press past their western border to join the fight against the Maleans.
Some also believe that the first step in this war will for the Maleans to invade the Protean Alliance, as that land is easily defendable, and is an excellent staging ground for a war through the south of the Benitian Kingdom.
Much balance also hangs in the Libeyan Commonwealth. The Libeyans are typically neutral in outside affairs, though it is possible that if a great enough injustice takes place, the Red Warriors will unify the people and lead them to battle.

The Formatian Empire
The Formatian Empire is ever growing, huge and glorious. They remain neutral on most sides, though a high concentration of their army is located to the Northwest, guarding against invasion from Leech and Illuminati.
In 2779 a Dwarf named Golar Bolman and a Saloi named Hansel Seerah invented the printing engine, a device that runs on both Dwarven engineering and magical ether. The printing engine is capable of copying ink from one page to another, making it possible to print entire books at minimal costs. Due to the cost of construction, the printing engine has not yet reached widespread use in Entasia.
From 2850 to 2901, Desmond Formatia, a nearly unstoppable death knight, had terrorized the Empire, riding through towns and cities, leaving a wake of undeath and destruction in his wake. In 2901, a royally trained party called Evertide managed to trap him and his undead legion in the caves of the mountains on the western side of the Empire. Some say he was laid to final rest through a great avalanche and cave collapse, but many believe he still sits within Mt. Breya.
The Empire is currently divided into seven Duchies. The colors of the Empire are Red and White, and each Duchy adds its own color to its local flag. Each duchy (ruled by a Duke) is divided into a number of baronies (ruled by a Baron), and each barony into a number of estates (ruled by a Lord). The towns and cities in each estate is ruled by a knight.
The political divisions are as follows:
The Formatian Empire is ruled by Emperor Robert Formatia XXXIX
The Grand Duchy of Aedificia is ruled by Duke Gerald Formatia XIV (Color: Purple)
Barony of Regency (which contains the city of Aedificia)
Barony of Kodiak
Barony of Quilford
Barony of Roshire
Barony of Hollowpool
The Duchy of Valshire is ruled by Duke Edmund Valshire (Color: Black)
Barony of Hawthorne
Barony of Tyne
Barony of Sunderland
The Duchy of Carrington is ruled by Duchess Elizabeth Merriweather (Color: Yellow)
Barony of Brighton
Barony of Shrewsbury
Barony of Worthing
Barony of Binterham
The Duchy of Eustock is ruled by Duke George Eustock (color: Green)
Barony of Hartley
Barony of Warrick
Barony of Sutherford

The Reth’tai Peninsula
In the 2600s, a large group of Arcane Mages followed the migration patterns of wisps to the uninhabited region south of the Benitian Kingdom. These mages, the Children of the Circle, named the peninsula “Reth’tai”, an Elven words which means “Eternal Triangle”. Because of the copious amount of ether and magical power, the mages found themselves in an arcane wonderland. A library was erected for the study of this intense magic.
Within that period, the Death spell, the Help Undead spell, and the Animate Dead spell were perfected. These forbidden magics were widely controversial and caused a great rift within the Children of the Circle. The violent faction supporting the further research of these spells, called the Amadis Group, was exiled from the Reth’tai.
The Amadis wandered all Entasia, further researching their magics and gaining strength and followers. In 2707, they returned to the Reth’tai, bringing death and destruction with them. The library was burned, the buildings were destroyed, and the writings of the Children of the Circle were lost to time. The vindictive Amadis Cult, led by the undead Arc Serpentis, essentially destroyed a hundred years worth of research.
In the final battle between the Children of the Circle and the Amadis Cult, the Children of the Circle banished Arc Serpentis to the Astral Zenith, never to return. The Amadis cult inhabited the Reth’tai peninsula ever since then.
The Benitians have recently acquired the Reth’tai peninsula. For quite some time, conquerors from almost every Kingdom came to the Reth’tai to try and claim it for its rich minerals and ether deposits. The Benitians, however, held the land under the guidance of Sir Steven Norrington.
A year after it was claimed, the local settlements were pushed out by the awakening of Arc Serpentis, the great Liche. Arc Serpentis now sits on the Reth’tai, gathering strength for what may be a grand assault on Entasia.
The newly titled Baron Steven Norrington has been charged by the King with destruction of Arc Serpentis, and it proves to be a long and arduous war. Because many of the undead that walk the Reth’tai are immune to the blows of non-magical weapons, the Benitian Army is mostly useless in combating them.

The Benitian Kingdom
In 2805, the Paladin Jacob Rellan undertook the quest of building a cathedral to Creation. The catherdral of Terin’Sal was built for the current Avatar of Creation, a young boy named Terin’sal. Terin’sal disappeared when the cathedral was finally finished in 2929
In 2898, Richard Benitia, a paladin of the royal line, undertook the task of keeping Benitian borders safe. He formed a group called the Protectors of the Ankh, which was a roaming group of Benitian warriors and casters. The Protectors of the Ankh Brigade patrolled the borders of the Kingdom, watching for threats.
In 2915, the Paladin William Strongbow undertook the task of finding an efficient tool to destroy undead. He researched a Destroy Undead spell that consumes ether in casting. He also forged a set of magical weapons called the Blades of Compassion which had the ability to efficiently combat undead. The Blades of Compassion are still held by those who make their quest the just destruction of un-life.
In 2950, an anti-paladin was found to be sitting on the Council of Paladins. He was publicly executed, though this hardly quieted the fears of the people that the council is still permeated by evil.
In 2991, a young girl named Recilla appeared at the steps of the Cathedral of Terin’sal. Recilla was embraced as the new Avatar of Creation. Currently, Recilla is watched over by Lady Demitri, High Priestess of Creation, one of the Heroes of the Reth’tai.

The Malean Wasteland
Within the Malean Wasteland, all is seemingly quiet. A few major revolutions against the Shadow Swarm have been mounted, but none have succeeded. The terrified farmers still toil and bleed quietly within the desert, eventually becoming a part of the nebulous army of the Shadow Swarm.

The Materian Forest
The Materian Forest has seen little change. The border towns to the west offer refuge and asylum to those who have escaped from oppressive rulers such as the Leech and Maleans. Outcasts and exiles from other kingdoms also come to the Materian border towns (like Tepwrack). The Druidi have declared that so long as these people live in accordance with Materian law, they may live there peacefully. As such, it has become a melting pot of all sorts.
In 2797, a blight began to kill trees in the Materian forest. This disease also affected many Sylvan Elves, who were dying and having birth defects in record numbers. Eventually, in 2801, the Council of Druidi determined that this blight was being caused by an evil Tselk named Jordiah. Jordiah lived in the swamplands, and was casting great disease spells into the waters of the land. His anger was fueled by an ancient disease that he contracted while exploring deep within the caverns under the Forest. This disease not only twisted him physically, but mentally and spiritually. Jordiah was struck time many times, but he kept rising anew, more powerful each time.
Finally, in 2806, Jordiah’s disease was lifted by the council of Druidi, and the tree blight finally ended. Many Sylvan Elves are born with a version of this disease, and it manifests later in life with some very strange and varied effects. These effects range anywhere from going color-blind to being taken over by evil spirits.
In 2982, a Tselk by the name of Kakkari began to experiment with ritual magics that would change someone’s race. Kakkari’s research was halted by the Council of Druidi.

The Chaos Hordes
The Chaos Hordes remain still. The barbarians still war internally with no sign that any one tribe or clan will rise to power and take control of the grassland.

The Libeyan Commonwealth
When the Libeyans moved into the foothills where the currently exist, they had to clear out a small nation of trolls. This small troll nation was led by an undead troll named Fhradon. Though the nation was destroyed, many of the Trolls moved deep into the caves in the foothills and under the land. Forced to live in these horrible conditions away from the light of day, these trolls grew stronger, and became known as Deep Trolls.
In 2350, a horrible curse was put on the Libeyan people by Fhradon, who still led the troll resistance. Fhradon’s curse caused Libeyans who were born on the new moon to slowly turn into trolls. This curse claimed the lives of thousands of Libeyans, and continued to progress until all Red Warriors of the commonwealth banded together and fought back against Fhradon. After six months of intense fighting in caves, the Red Warriors finally located Fhradon’s stronghold and vanquished the hundreds of undead deep trolls within. The losses were great, but peace was finally found and the curse was broken.
In 2534, the legendary Red Warrior Varrin Thunderhammer was killed in honor combat during training. Varrin Thunderhammer was the oldest Dwarf in the commonwealth, and had been around since Clan Libeya marched out of the Chaos Hordes. Despite his old age, Varrin was in excellent shape. The combat he died in was against his son, Varyth. Varyth inherited Varrin’s prized possession, the Thunderhammer. The Thunderhammer is rumored to strike as hard as a lightning bolt, and can channel it’s titanic blow through lightning even if your opponent blocks the blow. In 2846, Varyth passed the Thunderhammer onto his son, Varrin. Varrin is now one of the best fighters in the commonwealth.

The Protean Alliance
In 2750, the Kingdom of Veragoth made war against an undead scourge known as the Legion of Pelain. Pelain was a cursed undead who used magics that few mortals had seen. His army, consisting primarily of intelligent cursed undead, was defeated at the battle of Crygene in 2752. The undead forces decimated the city of Crygene, which remains abandoned today in memory of those who died under Pelain’s blade.
In 2817, the King of Brennan died in battle against the Ogre armies which were inhabiting the forests of Brennan. His family sword, Crystalfang, was lost in the battle.
In 2874, plague swept the Proteans, leaving the prosperous Alliance in a twenty-year long period of sickness and poverty.
In 2903, the King of Brennan tried to unify the five kingdoms of the Alliance into one Kingdom. Longtime enemy, the King of Navinar, squelched this motion.
In 2999, Fate-worshipping barbarians who had gated in from the Chaos Hordes kidnapped Chase, The Avatar of Chance. A group of adventurers from High Hopes rescued the Avatar and uncovered this abduction as a Malean plot to shatter morale in the Protean Alliance.
The Protean Alliance is currently divided into five kingdoms, being (From west to east)

Brennan, ruled by King Herald Brennan
Navinar, ruled by King Bruce Navinar
D’Larrio, ruled by King Zev Arcagne
Veragoth, ruled by King Drux Windsheen
Clairmoore, ruled by Queen Penelope Clairmoore

The Kingdoms of Leech and Illuminati
Though the Tyrant Nations in the north have been quiet for some time, it is assumed that they must be up to something. Rumors are sprouting up that the longtime allies will soon be unified under the Leech flag.
