Ehrgeiz is one of the few fighting games that Squaresoft has ever created. It was released in Japan on December seventeenth, 1998. It came to the United States on May fourth of 1999.
This game had excellent graphics for its time, and the FMVs, as usual for Squaresoft, are astounding. It also features a bonus Final Fantasy VII FMV, which combined several Final Fantasy VII FMVs from the RPG itself, added extra noises to them, with the 'One-Winged-Angel' theme playing in the background as it ran.
Now, if you've never played this game, you may be wondering why I'm even mentioning it. Well, as I mentioned before, it deals with Final Fantasy VII. Though it has nothing to do with the storyline of Final Fantasy VII, it has quite a few playable characters that originally were in the great RPG-Including Zax.
To get Zax, you must beat the arcade mode of Ehrgeiz with all the Final Fantasy VII characters.
Zax comes with two different styles in this game. If you have the game and use Cloud; it's basically the same.
The first outfit we see him is looks like his uniform in Final Fantasy VII--The dark purple one.
The second one is somewhat new. It's a SOLDIER uniform once again; but this time it's a red color. Basically the same as the first.
