When Kat and I first started this Role-Playing Game, I took it lightly. I figured it would be much like other RPGs I'd been in, ones that don't last long or don't mean much. One just to do while I was bored. (Almost equivalent to that of a one-night-stand, ne?) Of course, there had been many RPGs I had done that I loved with all my heart, but never ones I would devote an entire page for. After a few nights of this RPing, I began to like the new character I created and sort of wanted to introduce her to the world. Kat wanted to get her love for Zazu across, and I for Ascot. So we decided to create this page, to show the world what fun Magic Knight Rayearth can be.
It may not take you very long to realize that we took our own liberations when creating this RPG. For example: The Pillar of Cephiro is never able to fall in love without destroying Cephiro. In fact, even thinking of a person they desire is a sin, a deadly crime which cannot be forgiven by the people or the Pillar his/herself.
Of course, the whole idea of Kat and Zazu having a love-relationship is not workable in the real Anime/manga, but that is why we thank Pokéball for the minds of Role-Playing. As the new Pillar, Kat seems to have more freedom than Princess Emeraude would ever dream of. She is obviously able to love Zazu. She is also able to have fun with her friends. This she can do without having to pray constantly. This could be taken as if she had such a big heart, she could care about her own matters and Cephiro.
And as for Christy Torque's and Ascot's relationship - This is sort of where things do not collide unless you let imagination take over. I am fully aware that Ascot is 13, even in his 'older' stage. He is hopelessly in love with Umi, and in fact says so in the Anime. (But, lucky for me, she blows him over as thinking that he loves her and cares for her as I friend. She truly likes Clef, I believe. If I'm wrong, tell me!) Christy is 18, and thus a huge difference between the ages - Boy and woman. However, as the story goes, Christy met Ascot when she was nine and he was 13 (And Zazu was about six). So, nine years pass, making Christy 18 and Ascot 22 (And Zazu 15). A bit better, ne? Even though most of the other characters do not seem to change ages (Some do, but most do not). So this unusual time paradox is strictly not to be taken literally. All that should be undestood is that Christy and Ascot are, in fact, in love and are good age-wise - Man and Woman.
Eagle Vision is a fun character to Role-Play. In the Anime/manga, he is a calm, gentle man with a purpose. In this RPG, he is somewhat taken lightly and can be almost comedic at times. His personalities fluctuate, giving him many emotions reigning from seriousness to humorous. Even in his hillarious attempt with Zazu to create a brutal ransom note to his father and then both winding up in a shabby motel filled with... Unpleasant things (in the The New Pillar 2 RPG. Yes, we're on a sequel!), it would seem as if he were to rival Umi in his funny activities!
Aside from this, he also shares a strong bond with Kat. They start off as enemies, and become fast friends. Kat even brings him back to life and cures him of his illness. Yet he still seems to be cautious towards her, believing she would not accept him if he returns to Cephiro. As of now, he has not expressed deep emotions in the RPG (But he will, believe me).
Geo Metro is incredibly a fickle person. At times, it will seem as if he hates Christy, and other times he loves her. If he's not treating her like dirt, he's trying to get her to come to bed with him, and vice-versa. He has not expressed enough emotions yet, either. He is, in fact, an extremely vague character. (But, just between you and I, I think Geo and Eagle are the best MKR couple out there! ::dodges attacks from Kat and other readers:: )
Ferio is also a toss-up. He is not very serious. He's almost... Dare I say it? ...Dumb. Unlike the Anime/manga, he acts very stupidly. Why? We do not know yet. And do not get me started on the 'Little Polliwog' thing! But, we wonder if this is just an act, for he does tell Kat he was just messing with her later. And after that, he becomes serious. He does care for his friends, though, especially Kat and, of course, Fuu.
Mrs. Torque and King Vision are not real characters. They were created by Kat and I just because we needed them at that moment.
Caldina's dislike towards Christy is obvious. But why is she so hostile? Basically, she wants to look out for Ascot and make sure he is always alright. In spite of this, she is actually squishing him, but since Autozam was once an enemy of Cephiro, Caldina thinks Christy would harm Ascot (After all, Christy had Geo try to kill him).
Chibi James is quite a character, ne? This guy is a spawn of my creativity. For those of you who are familiar with Pokémon, you know Jessie, James, and Meowth of Team Rocket. To some, they are annoying as hell. To others, they are gods (The latter is my belief ^_^). Chibi Team Rocket is what I like to call, The Reincarnation of Team Rocket. I am one girl, but with little puppet-like creatures of Jessie, James, and Meowth. They are called Chibi Jessie, Chibi James, and Chibi Meowth. So, I tied Chibi James to Christy (because James is so cute), gave him a Primera-ish attitude, and made him the most annoying bugger anyone could meet! Heaven knows, I adore Team Rocket, but this way makes him suitable to the RPG. (Note: This tiny analysis of me/CTR is quite confusing, but is explained better in CTR section of my page. Of course, it's irrelevant to this RPG, but if you need reference...)
The Magic Knights do not play a big part in this RPG. And Presea is not even in it at all. But this is not really their story. This RPG focuses on Kat and Christy. If you want Presea, Hikaru, and whoever, look at the original!
Well, that is my little rant. I will probably add more later. Let me just say that Magic Knight Rayearth does NOT belong to Kat and I. It belongs to its original creators, CLAMP, and the people who create the Anime. Thank you.
