All About Myself
On March third of 1982, a smile grew on the face of the earth. A
7-1/2 pound bundle of joy blessed the earth with her presence. The first person
her delicate, brown eyes gazed upon was her 7-year-old sister at the time. She
knew then that from the first second of 4:34am onwards, she'd have three
guardian angels: her parents and her excited sister.
On her first step out the hospital, the
bright shining sun greeted her with a ray of sun light on her cheek and would
do so every day from now on. By the time the moon shone the sky, she was of 16
years recalling her wonderful, carefree, past life. Her first day at
kindergarten, was spent crying and being upset about leaving her mummy and home
for the first time. The second day the same and so was the third; well pretty
much all of kindergarten she left the house with red, bawling, sore eyes! But
once grade one kicked in and grade two and so on, she began to really enjoy
school and anticipated on meeting her friends the next day. A gap of time interrupts
and my mind races to the time she was on a roll in 7th and 8th Grade. Every
morning sneaking late into the assembly, shuffling at the back of the line,
passing principal jokes and rumours secretly like Chinese whispers, her heart
pounding with her friends, so as they all not get caught by the principal's
eyes! Well then in class, sprinkling chalk dust all over the teacher's white
chair, playing new practical jokes on them each day, placing thumb tacks on
some of the boys' chairs, just waiting for their shouts, oh! I can just
remember how the girls could not contain themselves without bursts of giggles
and laughter! Those were the fun days where she and her friends would spend
hours chattering on her father's conference line; there was never an end to
gossip; skate-boarding together, the meetings at ice-rinks, theatres, malls,
always straddling in groups. All this remains fresh in her mind just as it was
yesterday! However most cherished are her memories of secret yet staple
conversation, crank-calling the guys of her class, water-bombing strangers on
the street from her 3rd floor, cruising on the beach and getting stalled;
nothing could make her so ecstatic but her renown glory. Until she was
introduced to the additional love other life, no not her dream guy she'd spend
every lunch gaping at, but someone just as sleek, alluring and gorgeous! It was
love at first sight; everywhere she'd go, she would be reminded other
hypnotizing, stunning lover, the cheetah!! Reeeeaaaawwr!!! Some stunning belle
she was! Who is this princess you ask?? The girl in the mirror. Hi! My name's
Zehra Nasirali. Is there anything else you'd like to know about me?
