If You Were In Peter’s Situation Would you have become a Secret Agent or Would you have remained an actor? Why?

Based on novel: ‘CUE FOR TREASON’

If I were in Peter’s position, without a second thought I would certainly become a secret agent.  There are many advantages for this choice.

Being a secret agent justifies you as being one of the good and innocent and not a criminal or a fugitive.  This means that you would have a CID group on your side and that is exactly what Peter needed at that time.  After being on the run for almost a year, he deserved a good, believing group to be on his side and he definitely got one – the Queen’s CID group.  If I were in this position, I would know that I would be safe and protected up to some extent.  I would also be allowed to give Sir Philip a hard time as he gave my family.  I would be relieved that the CID would be on my side and understand my position.  Also being a secret agent would make me in a much more higher status than being a puny actor.  As you can see, there are a number of advantages to being a secret agent.

In conclusion, the major advantage would be authority to take revenge on Sir Philip and catch him by his tail on behalf of my family and the other Cumberland families.
