did I find most effective

Out of the three creation myths, I found ‘The
Woman Who Fell from the Sky’ to be most effective. It was an interesting story that included a lot of sacrifices,
war and competition. It was very nice
of the humble loons to have saved the divine woman from drowning; and for the
creatures like the Beaver and Muskrat to have risked their lives to create
earth for the future divine ones.
Generally, the myth started when the rebellion commenced among the
opposite natured brothers. The Evil
Brother killing the mother an creating fierce and terrifying animal was the
first step of violence introduced. On
the other hand the Good Brother was trying to dissolve this destruction to
mankind by creating useful animals.
This generous quality showed that they were not self-centered by also
thought for the future generation. One
time or the other there was going to be a fight and one was going to die. Even though, the Good Brother was killed,
the spirit of the mother revived him just so that she could put an end to the
violent Evil Brother. This shows a
great sacrifice the mother made that her son, even though evil, should be
killed. Another thing the myth shows is
that the truth and good always wins at the end. Why? Because that is what
the world should be full of – good qualities and peace.
