The Generals responded again. After last night's 3-2 loss to Quad City, Flint rebounded against Missouri for a 4-1 victory last night at the Perani's Event Center in Flint. The Generals were led by another stunning performance by goaltender Dan MacIntyre, who stopped 26 of 27 Otters shots to push his record to 2-1-0 on the season. MacIntyre currently leads the league in both save percentage and goals against average. The Generals fell behind just 16 minutes into the game when former General Troy Mann(1)buried one behind Macintyre to give the Otters a 1-0 lead. However, just three minutes later, Flint answerd back as John Dipace(1)scored the first of his two goals to send the teams into the locker room tied at one a piece. In the second, the Generals started the scoring just 1:30 in, as Martin Woods(2) scored on the power play to make it 2-1 Flint. Five minutes later, Kevin Kerr(3)scored on a slapshot to make it 3-1 Flint. In the 3rd period, the Generals John Dipace(2), closed out the night on the power play with 3 minutes to play, as Flint won the game, 4-1. Dipace, a rookie, was great on the night, posting 2 goals, 2 assists and a +2 rating. In the pipes for the Otters, Tim Knudsen stopped only 23 of 27 Flint shots to get the loss, dropping his record to 0-4-0 on the season. The Generals, with the win, push thier record to 4-1-0 on the season, good for 8 points and tie for first place in the Eastern Confrence with Richmond. The Otters, with the loss, remain the league's only winless team at 0-5-1. The Generals return to action on Thursday night, in Elmira, NY against the Jackals. Game time is 7:05pm.
