ThunderBike of New Zealand offers crash bars that are the most beefy I've seen. I know what you're thinking- how long to get them- right?! Mine came in one week-NZ to east coast US. And believe me, lots easier to put on than to replace a tank, engine covers, etc., not to mention much cheaper! You get the picture," there are those who have laid one down, and there are those who are going too".
ThunderBike also produces lots of other 'goodies' for the Tiger as well as many other Triumph models. Pictured under the crash bars is their Sump Guard. Mounts to the crash bars in front, and at the foot pegs to the frame. Good, solid piece of work. Protects those vital oil lines, sump, and oil filter. Not to mentions makes a good flat surface under this 500 pounder to chock up for those roadside repairs.
Lots of Tiger owners seemed to use a chain oiler. So I figured I'd give it a go as well. Most are not a pain to install, especially if you like tiewraps like I do. Got a thing for duct tape too, but not in this application. We're using an "O or X' ring chain here so: Basically if it's dry and dusty, I keep my chain fairly dry so grung doesn't stick to it too bad. In the wet I throw the oil to her to displace the moisture. If for some reason you run a non-sealed chain- best oil the shat out of it all the time if you want it to last.
The shot above as well as this one where taken after a ride in the rain over some pretty dirty secondaries. Little if any road grime remains on the sprocket and chain.
Before I found out that Thunderbike was turning out stone guards for oil coolers, I started on this little project. About 10 bucks material, and a few hour work whipped out this little jewel. Next I'm considering a radiator screen for the 'stone beetles' as well. Even though the radiators is fairly protected, and rides well above the front fender.
Black Robotics of Australia produce this little gem. This small device will recalibrate your speedometer to plus or minus 28% of it's factory set. All bikes come from the factory with some percentage of error. Not only bikes, but cars and trucks as well. Black Robotics has a Yellow Box for them too! Simple  to install with the inclosed detailed instructions. This device is small (roughly 1"x1'x2"). After you set it up, tuck it away under the seat, behind the fairing, anywhere you've got a little spot to stash it. So what's ya waiting for, check them out!
