What is 'Countdown'?
Countdown is the name of a TV game show broadcast in the United Kingdom on the TV station 'Channel 4' aka 'C4'. On this show, 2 contestants play against each other in a series of Letters games and Numbers games, ending with a race against the clock to be the first person to spot a scrambled up 9 letter word - the Countdown 'Conundrum' round ....

Yes. This site aims to let anyone around the world with internet access follow the UK C4 Countdown TV show via 'Summaries' for each day's show. UK viewers who miss the TV broadcasts of the show can use this site to catch up with what they've missed. Where can I see the UK C4 version of Countdown?
On the UK terrestrial broadcasts of UK Channel 4 channel - which may reach places as far afield as Ireland and the coast of Holland
On some cable TV and satellite TV systems in / near the UK which carry the UK Channel 4 channel
On the UK terrestrial broadcasts of S4C channel

When can I see Countdown?
There are 5 shows filmed for broadcast on Monday to Friday of each week, except during some of May-August and at Xmas time. The usual broadcast times for Countdown are as follows:-

UK Channel 4 - usually 4.15 or 4.30 p.m. British Time, Monday to Friday
UK Channel 4 repeat - each episode is repeated 2 and a half days later, starting at a time which varies between approx. 5.10 and 5.40 a.m. British Time.
S4C - check the schedules, different to Channel 4 broadcast times

Remember to allow for differences in time zones and 'British Summer Time' if you are watching the show from outside Britain.
