Made of fine and sterling silvers, nickel alloy, and brass metals, it took 9 months to create. The iris is a very large amber cabachon stone (that took forever to find). There are also amethyst and blue lapis cabachon stones set within the gauntlet.
The one thing this piece taught me is that I will NEVER, EVER use nickel again. Not only is it a pain to cut, solder, and forge, I nearly had a heart attack when it started turning GREEN when it reacted with one of my buffing compounds.
