| Kevin got picked for the role of Ethan Benchley without even auditioning for it. He had completed a pilot of a show called 'Finally Home', which was about 3 children who were adopted by a family that had lost a child in an accident. It was produced by Aaron Spelling as is Titans. Aaron decided that Kevin was the guy he was looking for to play Ethan, so he contacted him. Titans follows the wealthy Williams family through love triangles, alcoholism, deaths, and the lives of all sorts of members of a sometimes dysfunctional family but who are all fiercely protective of other family members and their company, headed by the father, Richard Williams played by Perry King. Kevin comes into the show in episode 3 and plays a bit of a 'bad-ass' in his words, but he goes to live with his aunt Gwen played by Victoria Principle, because his father abandons him and his mother has died. Here are the summaries of the episodes with Kevin in. EPISODE 3- Guess Who's Chumming For Dinner? Ethan is delivered by child welfare officers to his aunts house. They do not really know each other but Gwen gives him the choice on whether or not to stay. He just shrugs his shoulders. The two daughters think he will be trouble. Gwen calls all the family to a dinner and presents Ethan as the guest of honour. He isn't very pleased at being dressed up in a 'monkey suit' and being paraded around and trie to run away. Gwen thought he might try this and is ready for him when he tries to make his escape and convinces him to stay. EPISODE 4- Stormy Heather. Kevin spills water on the kitchen floor after an early morning swim and Gwen makes him clean it up. He thinks the cleaner should do it. He says she treats him like a kid and she says she won't put up with his arrogance. They try to decide on a school for Ethan and Gwen wants him to go to a prep school but he wants to go to a public school. Ethan's uncle gets involved and he gets accepted into the prep school. He is secretly pleased. Ethan makes friends with cousin Peter at the launch of the Dress2k website. EPISODE 5- Frisky Business Ethan has to take French lessons to make up for what he has missed, he gets worried about this. Cousin Laurie gives him scuba lessons. He sees cousin Jenny(a recovering alcoholic) drinking in the kitchen. He tells her that he knows what it is like to be alone. He explains that he would only go out when no-one else was about because of all the bruises he suffered at the hands of his father. EPISODE 6- Bad Will Hunting Ethan's uncle dies suddenly from a heart attack. Ethan comforts cousin Jenny offering her a shoulder to cry on. He meets his uncle Jack for the first time and tells him of his regret that his mother didn't have a formal get together when she died. He had only just got to know his uncle and now he had lost him too. He decides that it might be better just to be alone as you get stomped on a lot less. EPISODE 7- Torn Betwen Two Mothers Ethan loses his French teacher because he is so insolent to her that she walks out. While looking through his telescope he spots Faith who is to becaome his new French teacher, hired by aunt Gwen. He is very surprised when she walks in. |
