Dragon Dome news...

Adopted abandoned Glenn/Keltic-Rose Dragon!

The news today is that a frightened, Light Blue dragon residing formerly upon other sands has been picked up by one of the Zekiran residents, Tiiraen.

The son of Outsiders Triia and Aern, this tall green-skinned man has pledged that he will help recuperate the dragon as he is integrated into the Dome with the others of his kind.

"It's not something I like to see," Tiiraen said, "My parents have always helped me understand the plight of creatures such as this. I've never forgotten our stay on the Island..."

With his ability with animals, Tiiraen will not have any trouble calming the light Blue dragonet, though he tells us that he will not allow any contact until it is completely healthy and happy with its surroundings.

"His name is WindHowl," Tiiraen said, "he did not want to tell me his old one, and we found him because of his terrified yowling down on the planet. It wasn't hard to reach him, but he was alone, abandoned." Tiiraen shook his head in disgust. "How anyone could claim a dragon like this, as a hatchling, and then leave it to the elements before it's fully grown... It's a crime."

A crime which no Zekiran is willing to allow. So we welcome this new addition to our Dragon Dome, and hope that WindHowl will grow quickly and adjust to the others around him.

We now return to our normally scheduled events.

"It came to me in a dream," Tiiraen said upon further interviews, "that there was an abandonling out there. He was not in physical danger, but he'd been left out and was ready to give up. That's when I asked Viridia to glide us back down there closer so we could check it out."

Tiiraen's lucidity runs in his family, and usually is able to allow for dream healing, and communication without invading another's mind the way telepathy does. His abilities psionically don't have any animal Tunings, but his experiences with both mother and father being trained Animal Masters allow him a great deal of ability.

"How about now, are you okay?" Tiiraen spoke in a calm, quiet voice. The dragonet had grown restless while waiting for transferance to the Dome.

I am not okay. I am angry. I am alone!

"You're not alone! You'll be with the others, you just have to keep calm. There are people there too, so you need to be careful of them."

People turn on you, said the dragon, his voice hollow.

I will never turn on you, Tiiraen assured the dragon. With that, the Air dragon lifted his head and nodded. They entered the dome with pride in their steps.
The big light blue dragon finally stomped into the dome, head high, and blasted a breeze with his wings. He had learned how to fly, properly, from the older dragons, and there was a contingent of folk around to see him take off gracefully. They remembered when he was an angry adolescent, when he had been abandoned, and thought that perhaps he might never reach the air he so dearly loved.

But there he was! Up in the dome, soaring. Kaazha's companion dragon Jaffs let off a lightning-sound, not a real strike, and it shook the dome above. WindHowl came back down in time to see several bystanders running off.

Why are they afraid? It is only noise.

"The noise might break the dome. Aren't you afraid of that?" Tiiraen asked the dragon.

I am not afraid of anything any more. Except the black dragon. She frightens me.

"She frightens EVERYONE, my friend!" Tiiraen laughed, and several inhabitants stopped the pair to get photos or record statements. News would always travel fast around the ship. But sometimes, news of even the most trivial sort kept them occupied for days or even years.
