| Our protagonist looking a little bit on the "evil" side toward Shippo at the moment. Inu-yasha is a hanyou- a half-youkai (demon). His mother, being a human, died shortly after Inu-Yasha turning 5 or 6 years old. When growing-up, the locals would never play with him because he was a half-human. Sensing that his mother was very sad, he would run over and try to stay with her until she eventually passed. His father, being full-youkai, died and left the Right Black Pearl in a special place where no one could find it. Inu-yasha's evil brother, Sesshoumaru, is always on the endless quest to find this pearl and get the legend Tetsusaiga from it. The Pearl holds the grave to Sesshoumaru's and Inu-yasha's father's grave. The Tetsusaiga is the fang of their father was is legend to be able to kill 100 men in one swipe. The only way to "activate" the sword to proclaim a protection of some form. Inu-yasha's modern-day friend is Kagome, a way to cheerful girl to not be taking showers for weeks on end. Some believe she may be the reincarnation of Kikyo, the one and true love of Inu-yasha's past. |
