Defeating Marlboros

     Before battling a Marlboro, you must junction your Status Defence very well.  Make sure you have Quistis with you on low HP.  Junction 100 Berserks, 100 Confuses, 100 Pains and 100 Sleeps to someone's Status Defense.  If the other's also have 4 Stat-Def slots free, do the same, if not then junction 2 of the above (although sleep would not be recommended).  Make sure you have someone with GF Siren.  To this person, junction either all 4 shown above, or just 100 Berserks and 100 Confuses; and make sure that they have Command Ability  'Treatment' junctioned.  Marlboro's first attack will be 'Bad Breath', which will cause Berserk, Confuse, Poison, Blind and Sleep.  After this attack, the person with Treatment junctioned will either be asleep, or else will be ready to fight, depending on how many slots for Stat-Def they had.  When they are woken up (if they were asleep), treat the rest of your party, if necessary, and then work quickly to mug some Marlboro Tentacles.  Then have Quistis use her Limit Break Degenerator (she learns it with 1 Black Hole - refined from 1 Gesper card), and the Marlboro will be beaten.  If at first Quistis' Limit Break cannot be used (little triangle is not showing to the right of 'Attack'), press the circle button until you can use her Limit Break.  

Defeating Tonberries

    Tonberries have about 20 000 HP, and using GFs to kill them takes way too long, when you'll have to kill about 20 to get to the Tonberry King.  To kill a Tonberry quickly, do the following, but first of all, make sure you have Quistis in your party.  Keep Quistis on low HP. so that you can use her Micro Missiles Limit Break.  Make sure she has learnt this by using a Missile.  Make your first attack on the Tonberry to be Micro Missiles, this will remove 9999HP.  Don't use your other party members just yet.  Wait until Quistis' ATB gauge is full, then use your circle button to access her menu, and use Micro Missiles again.  This time it will remove about 7000HP.  Then have one of the other party members cast GF Diablos who will remove 9999HP.  If the Tonberry isn't already dead, finish him off with some spells or attacks.
