This is Hualampong Train Station in Bangkok, {I think} the first train station in Thailand, built about 1900.
These next two photos are the view from my apartment on Petchaburi Road. I particularly like the interesting trees and brilliant sunshine for most days of the year.

Apart from the brilliant sunshine and wonderful temperatures (usually 30C at night, and 32-35C in the daytime, most of the year...), meaning that one sweats wonderfully if you go into a non-airconditioned room - then beads of sweat form almost immediately on your nose, and trickle down your back {or that's what happens with me, anyway} - one really great thing about living in Thailand is the LIZARDS - wonderful little yellow and green cute creatures, which run around constantly. But for some reason, the Thais really hate them. There are some large ones also, as big as a small dog or cat, but you don't see them very often in the city - they're probably around somewhere, though; and there are lots in Lumphini Park.
